Injectables services offered in Carefree, AZ

The face is the primary focal point in human interaction and window through which expression is passed. It’s also highly unique and is the part of the body that most differentiates you. Refining facial features through surgical and nonsurgical procedures, such as injectables, highlights natural features, boosts confidence, and helps the aging process occur gracefully. The goal of these treatments isn't to change you but to enhance your natural features. Master aesthetician Andrea E. Hochstedt, LE, and board-certified plastic surgeon Victoria Aimé, MD, offer injectables at Wistl Skin in Carefree, Arizona. Call the office to schedule an appointment or book online.

Injectables Q&A

What are injectable treatments?

Injectables are used to relax facial folds and wrinkles (smile lines), contour the body, reduce the appearance of a double chin, and improve the signs of facial fat loss by creating structure, framework, and volume to the face and lips.

What is the difference between injectables and fillers?

Injectables and fillers are both popular facial treatments, though they differ in how they are used. At Wistl Skin, injectables are typically used to treat lines and wrinkles, while fillers correct volume loss, such as hollow temples or sunken cheeks.

Are injectables the same as Botox?

Botox® and fillers are two types of injectables, which are both injected with a needle. The most significant difference between Botox and other injectables (fillers) is that Botox is used to reduce wrinkles and fine lines by paralyzing the underlying muscles, whereas fillers fill in wrinkles.

Neurotoxins, like Botox, decrease muscle contractions that cause wrinkling of the forehead and around the eyes, nose, mouth, and neck. Fillers, such as JUVÉDERM®, restore youthful fullness and lift tissues to counteract the effects of aging and gravity.

What nonsurgical options besides injectables are available?

At Wistl Skin, there are many nonsurgical options to refresh your appearance and discreetly enhance your natural features without incisions, including injectables. The aesthetics med spa offers:

  • Fillers (such as JUVÉDERM, Restylane®, and RHA®)
  • Neurotoxins (such as Botox, Dysport, and Jeuveau)
  • Skincare products
  • Nonsurgical Rhinoplasty
  • Nonsurgical Facelift
  • Photofacial
  • Hand Restoration

Chemical peels encourage the turnover of the upper layers of skin to improve pigment and texture. Consistent use of skincare and sun protection enhances skin luminosity, radiance, and appearance to slow the signs of aging.

Additional services include:

IPL Phototherapy for Face, Neck, and Chest

Noninvasive light therapy effectively reduces and removes certain skin conditions like freckles, sun spots, hyperpigmentation, redness, rosacea, and visible facial veins. The body has a natural process to remove the injured tissue, and the skin gains a more even and youthful appearance. A consultation is required for IPL Phototherapy, and treatment starts at $400.

IPL Phototherapy Hands

Exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light from the sun accounts for most premature skin aging, not only to the face and body but the hands as well. A consultation is required for IPL Phototherapy Hands, and treatment starts at $250.
